Celtic v Rangers

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
At Christmas 2006 a friend from Glasgow gave to me a book he had bought from a charity shop. The book is about Jimmy McGrory a Celtic legend. He mentions that on February 12th 1927 Celtic were playing away to Dundee and in goal for the 'Celts' was a new keeper, 18 year old John Thomson from Fife. McGrory described him as a born athlete and as good as all the stories about him. He was a very confident lad and Cook had scored a goal for Dundee against him. Afterwards in the dressing room a Celtic director mentions it to him. 'That's a' right, sir,' he said in his Fife twang. 'It'll no' happen next week.' And he was right, it didn't.
